This Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread is an indulgent fall treat that is sure to please your taste buds for kids and adults alike!
I discovered “monkey bread” for the first time a year ago. Oh boy am I glad I did! Sort of.
Do you ever resist baking something because you know you’ll love it and won’t be able to stop eating it??
Well, that was the case with this bread. It was SO good the first time I made it that I only made it once last fall. And then again this fall.
Moderation is key! But, for some foods I just have a hard time eating in moderation, thus I avoid making the food for good reason!
Since this makes such a large serving, I would suggest making it for a fall or harvest party or bring it to a work potluck.
This way everyone gets a taste but you won’t have it sitting around your house for very long.
Dietitian’s Dish
Do you have foods that are “off-limits” to you? Do you know your “trigger” foods…foods that you know will cause you to eat more than you’d like to eat?
I am all for “everything in moderation.” However, if you know there are certain foods you can’t eat just in moderation, then don’t buy them.
I have heard many reasons why those “trigger” foods are in people’s homes (my spouse/significant other wants them, my kids need them, etc.).
If you’d like them on occasion, try portioning out the food into appropriate serving sizes and decide to only eat ONE serving. Or bake whatever the food is, eat a serving and then give the rest away.
My best suggestion is to have a plan in place before purchasing or making the “trigger” food. You’ll be more likely to succeed in eating it in moderation when you have a plan.
