My attendance at the Blog Brûlée is partially funded by Sponsors of the Blog Brûlée and I received a discounted registration to the event in exchange for writing this post. Opinions expressed are my own. I was not compensated for my time.
I am coming up on my two year blogging anniversary next month and am shocked it’s been 2 years already! At times I feel like I have come such a long ways in terms of blogging and on the other hand I know I have so much more to learn still. When I started blogging my goal was to enrich the lives of my readers using my background as a registered dietitian. Even if it was in small tidbits at a time (such as in my Dietitian’s Dish section); or maybe a reader started to realize it is possible to cook homemade meals and not be in the kitchen for hours; or stressing over the fact they can’t find some strange ingredient in the grocery store. I love being able to share my own personal experiences as a wife, mom and dietitian, especially to let others know they are not alone, and it’s okay to eat ice cream for dinner sometimes (rarely, but yes it happens).
With all that said, since I began blogging I have been continuing to educate myself on improving my blogging skills. And let me tell you, the possibilities are endless. There is so much to learn in so many areas of blogging – which is actually one of my favorite parts of blogging! When I discovered Blog Brûlée over a year ago, I knew it would be a huge asset to Chocolate Slopes for me to attend an event like this one. Not only is it all about blogging, but the attendees are all registered dietitians or healthy food bloggers. The founders, Regan Jones, Gretchen Brown, Deanna Segrave-Daly, and Robin Plotkin have put together this amazing invite-only retreat to not only help us improve our blogging, social media and marketing skills, but also give us a rare opportunity to meet other like-minded dietitian and healthy food bloggers from around the country.
Here are the other amazing bloggers that I can’t wait to meet this week!
Ginger Hultin, MS RDN CSO ··· Champagne Nutrition
Brittany Poulson, MDA, RDN, CD, CDE ··· Your Choice Nutrition
Bailey Sissom ··· Simply Sissom
Rebecca Clyde RD, CD ··· Nourish Nutrition Co.
Emily Cope-Kyle, MS, RDN ··· Emily Kyle Nutrition
And this amazing event would not be possible without the following sponsors.
