This Cheesy Turkey Bacon Stuffing recipe hits the spot with its delicious unique combination perfect to change up the traditional holiday side dish.
I love the holidays, especially having young children and experiencing the joys of the season all over again through children’s eyes.
And for me, food is a big part of the traditions surrounding the holidays. For generations, my family has served traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, including turkey stuffing.
And since I’m constantly experimenting with food on Chocolate Slopes, and love dairy, I thought why not add cheese to traditional stuffing?
And why not throw turkey bacon in for an extra special twist?
Recently, I have started shopping at Walmart more often for groceries and thankfully they have a plethora of variety. So you can easily find all the ingredients for this recipe there along with several other Kraft products.
The steps to this stuffing are quite easy and only require two pans.
First, chop the onions and celery and add them to a large skillet along with all the seasonings. Cook the vegetables until they are tender.
Next, add chicken broth and bring to a boil for a few minutes. Then reduce heat and gently stir in cubed stuffing and 1 cup of the Kraft Colby & Monterey Natural Shredded Cheese.
Finally, add the stuffing to a baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese on top.
Dietitian’s Dish
Even during the holidays, exercise should not be forgotten.
It’s especially important for the pure fact that we tend to consume more calories during the holiday season. Thirty minutes a day of walking can make a huge impact on your health.
So the next time you head to the mall, consider walking around the mall’s storefronts before hitting the shops. You could even do some window shopping!
I hope you enjoy this dish as much as we did! And don’t forget – stuffing is a perfect comfort food that can be enjoyed all year long, not just around the holidays!

I love stuffing! It’s one of the best parts of a holiday dinner. I really do need to make it more often throughout the year. I don’t know that I ever tried a stuffing recipe beyond traditional stuffing. This looks so delicious with the cheese and bacon that I must give it a try! {client}
