Fall is in full force here in Michigan and I’m loving it! My family and I just visited an apple orchard & cider mill this past week and had a blast. We took the traditional hayride out to the apple orchard where we picked a ton of different kinds of apples (Jonagold being a favorite). This is a tradition I have done as a child and am thrilled to carry on with my children.
I love making wraps like these chicken salad wraps not only because they are full of protein and fiber but also because they highlight so many great commodities from my home state of Michigan.
Did you know that Michigan is home to more than 300 commodities? This recipe alone contains five ingredients that make up Michigan agriculture including chicken, apples, cranberries, dairy and honey.
Dietitian’s Dish
I’ve teamed up with Flatout Flatbread to bring you this recipe again. However, I am a regular consumer of Flatout products.
I love the fact they contain whole grains and protein, which is difficult to find at times in grain products. I love that I can make pretty much anything from breakfast to snacks to dinners using these wraps.
And they are not only kid-friendly but also adult-approved.
