These Christmas Mini Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups are a fun way to get into the holiday spirit and super simple to make!
I am obsessed with not only baking chocolate chip cookies but also Christmas cookies.
So what better way to get into the holiday spirit than to combine the two?!? These would be perfect for cookie exchanges or holiday parties.
I’m all about making holiday cookies, even if I don’t have a specific purpose for them besides just enjoying them as a family.
My friends and I have had cookie exchanges for the past few years, for which I love making cookies for.
However, I’m not sure if it’s happening this year with everyone’s crazy schedules.
Regardless, these cookies are a fun way to get the kids in the kitchen to help. And who doesn’t love to bake cookies and top them with a bunch of sprinkles?!?
Can’t you see how much fun it is when the kids get in the kitchen to help?
No, but seriously, most of the time I enjoy having the kids help out in the kitchen. And since the older they get the more helpful they actually can be.
Simple Steps to Making These Christmas Mini Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups
Begin with your basic chocolate chip cookie dough. My favorite is the recipe on the back of Nestle Toll House milk chocolate chips bag. I’ve used this recipe for years and very rarely do I waver from it.
Once you’ve made the dough, press it into equal size mini muffin cups.
Then make an indent in the middle of each dough cup so there is space for the chocolate bell.
Next, as soon as you pull them out of the oven, add chocolate-shaped bell candies to each cookie cup.
Finally, top them with sprinkles.
Quite simple!

Dietitian’s Dish
This time of year is always challenging with the number of sweets available at holiday parties, cookie exchanges or work festivities.
What I like to focus on is moderation.
Yes, that’s usually easier said than done but if you know you’re going to be making cookies (and sampling a few) one day, focus on eating just a couple then package up the rest and put them out of sight.
I also like to allocate certain containers that I plan to give away, so that way, once they are packaged, I’m less likely to eat those.
Don’t forget, it doesn’t need to be an all or nothing mentality! You can and should enjoy the sweets and goodies around the holidays, just focus on balance!
