This Cilantro Lime Aioli Sauce is the perfect complement to any Mexican-style dish from burgers to tacos or even used as a dip!
I know I just mentioned in my homemade taco seasoning recipe last week that I do not make too many sauces or mixes.
However, I couldn’t resist with this one.
I am thrilled to have my own mini-garden for the first time ever consisting mostly of herbs and they are growing strong!
I have wanted to grow my own herbs for a few years now. But our last house had a rodent problem. AND the thought that they would be munching on my herbs disgusted me, to say the least.
So since we have moved, we have a fantastic spot to grow a few herbs and tomatoes.
We planted cilantro, parsley, basil and a tomato plant.
We weren’t sure what the plant was that you see pictured until it started blossoming a few weeks after planting the herbs so we left it there.
It turns out they are irises…pretty, but they get big quickly so I’m constantly having to cut them back. We’ll likely move them for next year.
So once my cilantro plant grew enough to harvest, I made this cilantro lime aioli sauce.
I put it on my Southwest Burger and it was the perfect complement to the burgers.
Now I’m just waiting for my basil to grow enough so I can make homemade pesto!
Are any of my readers gardeners? Do you grow any fresh herbs? What’s your favorite recipe to make with your herbs?
