It’s always nice when there are still plenty of “firsts” right? This “first” I’m talking about is not a big deal, it’s a new grill that I just purchased a few weeks ago.
When you’re an adult and parent, you appreciate the little things, right!?
I have never purchased a grill myself since Dan had one when we first started dating, then when my parents purchased a new grill they gave us their old grill which still had a few years left.
We are always grateful to receive my parents’ hand-me-downs since there is usually still some life remaining in them. Or we turn them into projects by repurposing or giving them a paint job like a corner cabinet, dresser and table (just to name a few).
So after taking a bit for us to assemble the grill, I couldn’t wait to use it!
For the inaugural grill, I made these sliders and paired them with this asparagus recipe. But instead of roasting it, I just put it on a grill pan and it was ready in no time.
Since then I have been grilling quite a bit, including this new kabob recipe that I’m bringing you today.
As you know, I’m all about simple and this recipe definitely fits that description.
I marinaded the steak the night before and right before grilling, I assembled the kabobs (after soaking the wooden skewers in water for about 10 minutes). They only took about 10 minutes to cook and made the perfect summertime meal.
Kabobs are probably my favorite meal to grill beside hamburgers since they include protein + vegetables all in one.
A few of my other favorite kabobs include these Grilled Steak and Vegetable Kabobs and Grilled Hawaiian Steak Kabobs.
