This Peach Pie Smoothie is a fantastic kid-friendly snack that takes 5 minutes to make and full of nutritious ingredients!
I’ve teamed with up the healthy eating-focused Produce for Kids® campaign with Meijer today to provide you with a delicious, simple smoothie recipe and chat about Produce for Kids and their partnership with Jump with Jill. This campaign runs from May 29 through June 26 and will not only raise funds for Jump with Jill but Meijer shoppers will also benefit from healthy meal solutions, recipes and tips. Since 2013, Produce for Kids has donated $342,823 to Jump with Jill. About 75 schools have been supported through the campaign since fall 2014. Jump with Jill is a fantastic program created by a registered dietitian who puts on a nutrition show for elementary school children. The main focus is to talk about healthy eating all while enjoying the education in the form of a nutrition rock and roll show.
I chose to make one of Produce for Kids recipes, this simple Peach Pie Smoothie and the kids and I LOVED it! I’ve been making smoothies quite often these days but never thought to add oats to them before like this recipe did. I will definitely be doing that more, because why not add more whole grains and fiber whenever I can!?
Dietitian’s Dish
