These kid-friendly Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats are a fun and simple treat that kids can help make!
I couldn’t help myself making these. I was craving rice krispie treats and had a few minutes to spare and thought why not make them Halloween-themed?
They took about 20 minutes total.
But you’ll also notice they are not perfectly shaped, and for good reason. I honestly don’t like spending too much time in the kitchen, and to me, these pumpkins look way more time-consuming than they actually are.
My 3-year-old loved adding the mini chocolate chips to the pumpkins too.
This is a very simple recipe for kids to help out with in the kitchen. And as you can tell, my kids enjoyed eating them too.
Last year I made these pumpkin rice krispie treats but with tootsie roll candy for the stems. But I do not like tootsie roll candy at all.
So this time I came up with a much better idea and added chocolate for the stems – why didn’t I think of that sooner!?!
Better late than never.
I love baking, much more than cooking actually, which seems to run in the family since my grandmother thought that way and so does my mom.
So if you’re interested in another Halloween treat, check out these Candy Corn Sugar Cookies I posted last year. I’ve already made them twice this year.

Or these amazing Halloween Truffles. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
And don’t worry, I also make healthier Halloween treats. This simple fruit-filled Halloween snack is so much fun for the kids and is a bit little healthier.

Let’s talk exercise. Did you know that 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise is the weekly recommendation?
That breaks down into just 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week which you can accomplish in as little as 10-minute increments.
Examples of moderate-intensity activities include:
- brisk walking
- swimming
- cycling
- and even mowing the lawn.
And regular exercise not only helps you maintain a healthy weight, but it also lowers your risk of heart disease and stroke and improves your mood.
