These Shredded Barbecue Beef Sliders make up a simple protein meal that are perfect for a busy weeknight meal. And they take only 5 minutes to prep!
I am a big fan of sliders, especially when I eat at restaurants.
I’m not sure about the appeal except that I enjoy the smaller size of the slider buns. And it’s a little easier to control my portions when eating them.
For this recipe, I used a boneless beef chuck roast. I also experimented by adding beer to the recipe and it worked out quite well.
Another bonus for using slider buns is that they are more kid-friendly because of their size. And anything that is more enticing for my kids to try is definitely worth it!
Since my kids have never eaten shredded beef like this before I put a little on each of their plates along with a slider bun and let them assemble it.
The more independence my kids have when eating meals, the more likely they are to eat it.
So this strategy worked great for this recipe.
Dietitian’s Dish
I typically try to add vegetables into the main dishes I prepare because why not add vegetables whenever possible?!
Since this recipe only contains onions I paired these sliders with a simple vegetable-packed side dish. This corn, black bean salad paired perfectly with it. Recipe coming later this week!
