Some of you may know I’m a wanna be world traveler. In college I had the unique opportunity to study abroad in Spain for a semester and stayed with a host family. The BEST host family I could have asked for in my opinion! I had more than you could imagine of firsts in Europe, one of which included beginning to drink tea. Now I was not a plain tea drinker, but I loved ordering my té con leche (tea with milk) which hit the spot.
Once I returned to the United States I discovered chai tea. Chai is a black tea, steeped in 5,000 years of Indian history, and is a blend of flavors including milk, tea leaves and spices. This combination of flavors is part sweet and part spicy which is the perfect blend in my opinion.
Thankfully TAZO® has created TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods for the Keurig® to allow you to explore a world of flavor from the comfort of your home. The TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods include a creamy blend of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and vanilla flavors. In a simple 2 step process you have a bold flavored chai latte right in your home! And since I typically am going non-stop from when the kids wake me up to several hours after they go to bed drinking a chai latte in the afternoon hits the spot. And taking just a few minutes to relax in the middle of the day and dream of exotic lands of sweet cinnamon, fragrant cardamom, and spicy ginger, is just what I need to feel invigorated again. It also makes me dream of traveling overseas again and exploring new lands. That will happen someday, but for now I can dream of far away lands right in the comfort of my home.
Padma Lakshmi, a New York Times Bestselling author, has partnered with TAZO® to also get the word out about these delicious new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods. She has created several amazing recipes that pair well with any flavored TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods. I personally enjoyed my chai latte with my favorite banana nut muffins, but I’ll definitely be making Padma Lakshimi’s sugar and cinnamon chips soon!
